[Skim-app-users] Skim cannot edit comments or highlights made with GoodReader (iPad)

Hi everyone,

First time on the list, so bare with me!

I've started using Skim as it does not crash or being generally slow and
"big". However, I've run into some problems regarding comments (not
highlight notes, but written text put in the margin or similar) and
highlights that I make on my iPad using the app called GoodReader -
http://goodreader.com/

I cannot select the highlights or the comments in Skim. This is possible
in Adobe Reader DC and Apple Preview.

Any ideas as to why this happens? It might also be a problem with
Goodreader, but this seems unlikely to me since it works in other PDF
readers.

Please read the FAQ on the Wiki. Skim uses separate notes, not the ones embedded in the PDF. You can convert the ones embedded in the PDF to Skim notes, and you can save the notes embedded in the PDF to be read by other readers.

Thanks for the swift reply. I will look into it. Sorry for not properly
looking through the documentation. I know this is what on would expect.
