I’ve recently discovered you can place pictures into anchored notes.

What are the disadvantages to just pasting pictures into there? I’ve been adding imgur links before, but this would save so much more time. Will it slow the interface or the PDF? I typically work with documents > 500 pages <1000 pages, will have a few pictures in anchored notes on every other page be too much to handle?

Thanks

I don’t really understand your question. Are you asking whether adding images to anchored notes slows the interface? I don’t think so, because the PDF does not draw these images, they’re only drawing when you show the anchored note. Perhaps it may have an effect on the file loading and saving, but I don’t think it’s that much.

Hi,

Thanks for the quick response. You are more or less correct that that is my question. I had some lag the first time I tried to put pictures into those little boxes in anchored notes and wasn’t sure if it was me or the program. I guess you put it the right way. I wanted to ask about how the program draws out these pictures. I assume that if it doesn’t draw the image until I click the anchored note, that there’s no extra processing whether I have a closed anchored note with an imgur link, versus a closed anchored note with an image stored, right? I just wanted to make sure before I fully commit to using images and end up with a tremendously slow pdf. I don’t care about file size, or save/loading speed.

If you can confirm that for me, that would be great

Thanks!

Mobile security can be enabling, not merely restricting. Employees who
bring their own devices (BYOD) to work are irked by the imposition of MDM
restrictions. Mobile Device Manager Plus allows you to control only the
apps on BYO-devices by containerizing them, leaving personal data untouched!

Yes, there would be no real difference. The image data is saved in the notes data. The PDF drawing does not use it, and does not even know about it. It’s only drawn in the image view in the separate note windows.
