I am experiencing some new behavior related to previously opened files.
Here is an example:
Launch Skim.
Open PDF file A.
Quit Skim (CMD Q)
Double click another PDF file B.
Skim launches and displays file A in the foreground; with file B window in
the background.
This did not used to be the case: file B used to be displayed in the
foreground.
(NOTE: I do have reopen last open file at startup; also I have checked
remember last viewed page)
--
A variant of this problem is particularly annoying. If file A was a preview
PDF file (which sits in an obscure temporary folder) generated by LyX. Then
if LyX or the lyx file got closed, when you relaunch Skim in the above
sequence Skim cannot find file A (naturally, since it is a temp file that
gets deleted) and reports the error prompt "Unable to load file". This is
also new behavior. Previously, Skim would just ignore the missing file
amongst the previously opened ones.
To reproduce:
Launch LyX
Open or create lyx file A and preview PDF
Skim launches and displays PDF file associated with A.
Quit Skim (CMD Q)
Close LyX or just close LyX file A (both things clear the temporary
directories and files)
Double click another PDF file B.
Skim launches and displays an error message "Unable to Load file"; file B
is in a background window.

Thanks!
