[Skim-app-users] Notes Pane

Two quick questions:

When scrolling through a pdf that has notes, while the notes pane open,
upon reaching a new page the first note on that page is automatically
highlighted (in light grey when the pane is not the focus, in the highlight
color when it is focused). However, when there are many notes in the pdf
and they don't all fit in one scrollview in the notes pane, when reaching a
note that is outside of the current scrollview, the notes pane doesn't
scroll automatically down to make it visible. One has to manually scroll
the notes pane to see the note that is highlighted. Is there a way to
automatically recenter the notes pane so that the current note is always
visible?

When scrolling through the notes pane, double-clicking on a note
automatically takes one to the page in the pdf that has the note on it and
selects it. But when going through the notes pane using the arrow keys on
the keyboard it doesn't. Is there a way to change that behavior? Or is it
possible to assign a keyboard shortcut that would then jump to the
respective pdf page? The enter key, for example, would make sense to do the
jump.

If not, maybe the developers would consider these two points for a future
release?

Thanks a lot!

No, there isn’t a way to do this. But perhaps we should do this automatically when selecting.

Hold down the Command key while moving through the notes, and it will select and show the note.

That'd be great!

Excellent, that does the trick!
