Hi,

I’ve noticed two small problems with Skim since the upgrade to 10.11 El Capitan:

1) when I have Skim running in full screen mode, scrolling up or down (by two-finger swipe on the trackpad) is sluggish, and

2) there are redrawing glitches similar to the ones which occurred in a previous upgrade (not sure which one), but which were solved in a later Skim upgrade. I have put a screenshot of the glitch here:

I’m running Skim Version 1.4.14 (88) on a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013) running Mac OS X 10.11.

Thanks in advance,

José

Those are all Apple’s problems, as bot the scrolling and the drawing is handled by Apple’s PDFKit framework, not by us. Also, we never fixed such a drawing bug (we even can’t, because it’s in Apple’s code). So it must be Apple that fixed it along the road. Hope they will do so in the future. Unfortunately Apple glitches with PDFKit in new releases are more the rule than the exception.

I think I knew that, but had forgotten :-/ Sorry about that. Yes, let’s hope that Apple fixes this eventually. It took a while the last time, if I recall.

Thanks,
José
